ENTERTAINMENT
May The Toys Be With You

You may have seen a team of storm troopers patrolling the streets of Chichester these last few Saturdays. This is a recent attempt from the council to increase surveillance and crackdown on shoplifters. Only joking. But maybe I should suggest that.

They are in fact promoting the Star Wars exhibition on display at The Novium Museum. May The Toys Be With You showcases hundreds of vintage Star Wars toys, posters and memorabilia. The ultimate Star Wars experience, right on our doorstep! The exhibition runs up until Saturday 20th of April and booking can be done here.

SOMETHING ACTIVE
Yoga to keep you young

Many studies have been done on yoga and its health benefits: Lowered heart rate, mindfulness and better cardiovascular endurance… the list can go on! A free yoga course is taking place at Chichesters new youth venue ‘The Shed’. Sessions for those aged 13-25 are happening each Monday evening for the next month.

More info and tickets can be found here. And for those aged 25 and over, I apologise. However, here is a quick 15 minute stretching routine I like to use from Youtube!

ADVERT
Get healthy, get outdoors. Personal training available.

LIVE & LOCAL SPORT
He’s on the tele

Tricky to classify who classes as a celebrity these days, but many are heading down to the seaside ground of Bognor Rocks to take part in a Celebrity Charity Football Match. Maybe there’s a few familiar faces you recognise?

The match takes place on Sunday and all ticket proceeds are going towards My Shining Star Children’s Cancer Charity. Tickets can be found here.

If a sport with a more egg shaped ball is your thing instead, Chichester Rugby Club 1’s are playing against Farnham on Saturday afternoon. Kick off is at 14:30 on the trusty, home pitch of Oaklands park.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Multitude of markets

From cries of strawberries, to handmade jewellery. One thing that Chichester triumphs in, are markets. We have a weekly traders market, a bi-weekly farmers markets. But once a quarter a special market comes to Chichester… The Cross Market. Filled with many homemade treats, and brought to you by the best local designers, makers and producers.

The Cross Market is taking place on Sunday the 3rd of March between 10-4. More info can be found here.

LIVE MUSIC
The next generation of music

Do you think it is easier to learn piano or the guitar? Learning a musical instrument is high up on my list of life side quests. Maybe I have been inspired by the musical talent Chichester is home too. Watch it live and see the next generation of musicians at The Chapel on Friday night.

The event features talent from the Universities music department and will run from 7-10PM. More info and tickets can be found here.

Thanks for reading, it’s early days (ep3).

Maybe you know of a good event?

Maybe there is something I can do differently?

Let me know!

Have the best week.

Reuben.
